Frequently Asked Questions

What types of repair services do you offer?
We handle just about any auto body repair you might need – from fixing small dents and bumper scrapes to repairing major collision damage. Our skilled technicians can straighten and strengthen your car’s frame after an accident (using advanced computerized frame-measuring equipment), perform paintless dent removal for minor dings, and refinish scratched wheels. We also do full paint jobs with expert color matching, bumper repairs, and even custom car body upgrades or modifications to personalize your ride. In short, if it involves your vehicle’s body or paint, we’ve got you covered!
Do you work on electric or luxury vehicles (like Teslas or high-end European cars)?
Absolutely. We are certified by major manufacturers – including Tesla, Ford, and Subaru – which means our team has specialized training to repair those vehicles to factory standards. We have experience with all makes and models, from everyday cars to luxury European brands. In fact, many of our customers trust us with their high-end vehicles (one client with a BMW and Audi said they “completely trust this place” for quality work). We’re also knowledgeable about hybrid and electric vehicles’ unique components – our technicians are even certified in working with hybrid systems – so your Tesla or EV is in good hands here.
Will you handle the insurance claim and paperwork for me?
Yes, we will. Dealing with insurance can be one of the most stressful parts of an accident, so we strive to make it easy. Metro Collision Center works with all insurance companies and can guide you through the claims process. We’ll help with the paperwork and communicate with your insurer directly to arrange approvals and payments, so you don’t have to bounce between phone calls. Our goal is to advocate for you and get your vehicle repaired properly under your policy. Many customers appreciate that we’re “very helpful with paperwork” and make the whole insurance process smoother.
How long will the repairs take?
Repair timelines can vary depending on the extent of damage and parts availability. For minor fixes – say a small dent or bumper repair – it might only take a couple of days to get your car back. Larger jobs, such as fixing significant collision damage or multiple panels, can take anywhere from several days to a few weeks. We’ll give you an estimated timeframe after examining your vehicle and will keep you updated if anything changes. Rest assured, we focus on repairing your car as efficiently as possible without compromising quality, so you can get back on the road safely.
What can I expect during the repair process?
The process typically begins with a complimentary estimate and inspection of your vehicle, during which we assess the damage and explain the necessary repairs. Once you approve (and your insurance gives the green light if applicable), we’ll arrange for you to drop off the car and then our technicians get to work. We’ll teardown and examine the vehicle in detail, coordinate any further approvals with insurance, and then proceed to repairs – this can include body work, frame straightening, part replacements, and paint refinishing as needed. Our shop uses modern equipment and techniques (like computerized damage analysis for frame repair) to ensure everything is restored to factory specifications. After repairs, we reassemble your car, perform quality checks, and give it a cleanup so it’s all set for you to pick up looking good as new.
How will I be kept updated during my car’s repair?
We believe in open communication and know it’s important for you to know what’s happening with your car. Throughout the repair, our team will reach out with updates at key stages – for example, after we’ve disassembled and assessed hidden damage, when parts arrive, and when we’re getting close to completion. We can give you a call, text, or email based on your preference. If there are any unexpected delays or changes, you’ll be informed right away. And of course, you’re always welcome to contact us anytime during the process if you have questions or just want a status update – we’re here to help and put your mind at ease.
Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on your work?
Yes – we stand by the quality of our work with a lifetime warranty on all repairs we perform. This means if any issue arises with the workmanship of the repair (for as long as you own the vehicle), just let us know and we will make it right. We want you to have total peace of mind about the durability and safety of our repairs. Our shop uses OEM-quality parts and proven techniques, and we double-check everything with a thorough quality control process. The bottom line: we’re not happy unless you’re happy, and we’ll back that up in writing with a warranty so you can trust that your car was fixed correctly.
My car isn’t drivable after an accident – can you help with towing?
Definitely. If your vehicle cannot be driven to our facility, we can arrange a free local towing service to bring it in. Just give us a call and we’ll coordinate the tow truck to pick up your car and deliver it safely to our shop. We know accidents are stressful, so we try to remove the hassle of getting your damaged car to us. There’s no charge for local towing when you’re doing repairs with Metro Collision Center, and we’ll make sure your car is handled carefully en route. (If you’re outside the immediate Los Angeles area, we can still help arrange towing at a fair rate.)
Can you help me get a rental car while my car is in the shop?
Yes, we’re happy to assist with your transportation needs. We understand you still need to get around while your car is being repaired. If you have rental coverage through your insurance, we’ll work with them and their partner rental agencies to get you set up in a rental car quickly. Even if insurance doesn’t cover it, we can help coordinate a rental at a competitive rate as a convenience to you. Our staff has experience handling these arrangements – as one customer noted, we are “very helpful with … rental car needs” during the repair process. The goal is to keep you mobile and make sure that being without your car is only a minor inconvenience.
What are your hours, and do I need an appointment to bring in my car?
Our collision center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed on weekends so our team can recharge. You don’t strictly need an appointment for an initial visit – walk-ins are welcome for estimates during business hours, and we’ll accommodate you as promptly as possible. That said, scheduling an appointment is a good idea, especially for larger jobs or if you have a tight schedule, because it ensures we can dedicate time to you right when you arrive. You can call us or use our website to set an appointment for a free estimate or repair drop-off. When you do come in, we’ll discuss the repair plan, timeline, and anything you need to know about drop-off and pick-up. We try to be flexible: if you absolutely can’t make it during normal hours, let us know and we’ll do our best to work out an early or late drop-off arrangement.
